The Libertines Announce 20th Anniversary Reissue of Up the Bracket

The Libertines are reissuing their debut album, Up the Bracket, in honor of its 20th anniversary.

Due out on October 21st via Rough Trade, the Super Deluxe Edition will include a remaster of the original album, and a whopping 65 previously unreleased recordings including early demos, radio sessions, and live recordings. It also will include a book containing new interviews with the band and previously unseen photos. See the full details below. Additionally, the UK garage rockers have planned a special anniversary show on July 23rd in their native London’s Wembley Arena with The Cribs, The Paddingtons, Louis Dunford, and more. Registration for tickets to the concert is available here. You can also grab your seats for the rest of the band’s upcoming tour and festival dates via Ticketmaster.

“The Libertines will play ‘Up The Bracket’ in full plus a career spanning set of Singles and B sides on 23rd July at Wembley and we’re thrilled to be joined by dear friends @thecribs @ThePaddingtons @LouisDunford and @DJAmazonica,” the band announced on Twitter.

The news comes days after frontman Pete Doherty revealed the band is determined to record a new album in Jamaica as a follow-up to 2015’s Anthems for Doomed Youth.
