Liam Payne shares rare photo of son Bear

Liam Payne's son wants to follow in his dad's footsteps.

On Friday, the One Direction alum, 30, shared a sweet photo of his 6-year-old son Bear on Instagram as the father-son duo walked by a Spotify billboard for Payne's single "Teardrops."

Wearing a yellow puffer jacket, Bear proudly looked at the poster while his dad snapped his photo.

"I want to be on a billboard one day daddy 🐻 ❤️," Payne captioned his post.

Payne shares his son with his musician ex Cheryl Cole, 40.

In a conversation with British Vogue in November, the Girls Aloud singer was asked by the publication about bringing her child into the spotlight now that she and her fellow group members Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle have all become moms within the past decade.

"The problem is that I want Bear to have a normal childhood," Cole said.

"I don’t want people recognizing him on the street," she continued. "But he’s twigged that I’m famous."

Added Cole, "The other day he said, ‘How lucky am I to have famous parents?’ I said, ‘It doesn’t matter.' He goes: 'Yeah. But it’s pretty cool.' "

Cole and Payne announced they welcomed their son a few days after he was born with a Polaroid shot of Payne cradling his son, which they both posted on Instagram.

“I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far,” the proud dad wrote in his caption at the time.

Though Payne and Cole split in July 2018, the pair have worked together as co-parents to raise their son together.

"I see him two times a week, three times a week sometimes," Payne said of Bear in 2022. "And I make sure when I see him, he has 100 percent of my time. I make sure that I'm not on my phone or dicking around somewhere else."

"So, I like to give him those moments and it's important, he needs that in his life, he needs his dad in his life, and I'm happy he looks at me like a superhero, and I'm hoping to keep it that way," he added.
