Liam Hemsworth's Sister-In-Law Disses Miley Cyrus: 'He Deserves Much More'

Liam Hemsworth's family is breaking their silence in the midst of his divorce with Miley Cyrus and it's not pretty. The 29-year-old's sister-in-law, Elsa Pataky, was the first to address the split during the launch of “KissMas Time” by Women’s Secret lingerie in Madrid on Thursday. When asked how Liam was doing following his breakup with Miley, 26, after less than one year of marriage, Chris Hemsworth's wife did not hold back when she answered the question to a number of reporters.

“My brother in law, well, after a relationship where he dedicated 10 years, he’s discouraged … but he’s taking it well,” Pataky said, according to Hola! “He’s a strong guy and he deserves the best. I think he deserves much more,” she added. Pataky, who is an ambassador for Women's Secret lingerie, also told reporters that Liam Hemsworth is leaning heavily on his family -- including his older brother, her husband, Chris. “Family is always there to protect you. He and his brother are so close and he’s really been there for him to give him the strength he needs,” she continued. Speaking of her husband, Elsa Pataky couldn't help but gush over her main squeeze. “The truth is he is a doll, I adore him and he’s so handsome. I gotta say it,” she added of her husband. “The best thing is his sense of humor. He makes the whole family laugh," she told reporters.

Miley & Liam's History:

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth experienced an on-again, off-again relationship beginning in 2009 after they met on their movie, "The Last Song." The famous former duo wed during the Christmas holiday in 2018 at her Nashville home with close friends and family. Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their split 8 months later and released a joint statement to fans. "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy," it read. The "Hunger Games" actor filed for divorce several weeks later.

It's been a rollercoaster of a year for the "Mother's Daughter" songstress. Following her breakup with Liam, she immediately went public with "The Hills" star Kaitlynn Carter. They only lasted a month before she revealed she had moved on and was dating Simpson. As for Liam Hemsworth, he has moved on too.
