Fans of Netflix’s The Witcher have been given a first look at Liam Hemsworth in the role of Geralt of Rivia, a monster-hunter who possesses uniquely supernatural abilities. The protagonist of the series, Hemsworth is taking over the role from Henry Cavill, who left after season three wrapped filming.

Hemsworth will be starring alongside Anya Chalotra, who plays the sorceress Yennefer, and Freya Allan as the princess Ciri with whom Geralt is tasked with protecting.

The fourth season of The Witcher is being filmed back-to-back with a fifth and final season, which Hemsworth also stars in. There are six novels in Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher book series and the fourth and fifth seasons aim to encompass the latter three novels, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow and Lady of the Lake.

Production on the fourth season is ongoing in the UK. Stay tuned for future news of an official release date.
