Lexis King has advanced to the semi-finals of the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament.

On the December 12 episode of WWE NXT, Lexis King attacked tournament participant Trey Beahill, and Ava announced that King would replace him in the competition.

Lexis King competed in a first-round bout on the December 19 episode of NXT, as he faced the debuting Dion Lennox. King controlled the action early on. Lennox rallied and showcased some explosive offense. King tried to walk away with the contract, but Lennox stopped him. In the end, King scored the win with the Coronation to advance to the next round.

After the bell, Trey Bearhill came to the ring with a chair, looking to get some revenge, but King escaped.

Later in the show, Tavion Heights defeated Luca Crusifino in the other first-round bout to advance to the semif-finals of the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament.

The semi-finals will see King face Riley Osborne, who beat Keanu Carver in the first round. On the other side of the bracket, Heights will face Oba Femi, who defeated Myles Borne to advance.
