Some of us want a bigger experience around “Barbie,” the live-action movie opening in wide release this weekend, and the Indy area offers opportunities to gather with other fans on the trip to Barbie Land.

When: 5:30 p.m., July 21

Where: AMC Castleton Square 14, 6020 E. 82nd St.

Details: Folks will gather in the lobby for a meet-up, then go for dinner and drinks and discussion nearby after seeing the movie. For information, visit meetup.com/indy-film-buffs

Let's Go, Barbie! Drag Brunch

When: 9:30 a.m., July 22

Where: Living Room Theaters, 745 E. 9th St., Suite 810

Details: Have brunch with Pat Yo Weave & Friends. Tickets include access to a breakfast buffet, drag performances, and a 12 p.m. screening of “Barbie.” There’ll be Barbie-themed beverages, and over an hour of entertainment by life-size Barbie and Kens at this 21-and-up event. Most seating is located in the lounge and around the bar.

The Barbie Party at The Vogue

Where: The Vogue Theatre, 6259 N. College Ave.

Details: No movie screening here, but it’s all Barbie vibes with DJ Gabby Love & DJ Mae spinning EDM featuring the likes of Nicki, Britney, Madonna, Megan, Cardi B, Gwen and Ari. Come prepared to walk the pink carpet, take pictures in a life-size Barbie box and enter the catwalk fashion show costume contest. The event is 21 and up. Get tickets at thevogue.com.

Barbie & Botox

When: 10 a.m., July 30

Where: Yes Cinema, 222 4th St., Columbus

Details: Excolo Aesthetics is treating folks to the movie and providing swag bags and discounted Botox. Tickets are first come, first serve. The movie viewing is open to those 13 and older. Sign up for tickets at eventbrite.com.
