February's special bonus day, which only comes around roughly every four years, is Thursday.
Leap day returns Feb. 29. Although, it's not an official holiday, there are lots of deals and hoopla that surround this special day.

Krispy Kreme: dozen glazed doughnuts for $2.29
Krispy Kreme is offering customers a dozen original glazed doughnuts for $2.29 with the purchase of any regularly priced dozen on Thursday, Feb. 29, in honor of leap day. Additionally, customers who have a Feb. 29 birthday can receive a free dozen original glazed doughnuts, no purchase necessary. Proof of birthday is required.
Wendy's: free Cinnabon Pull-Apart
On leap day, Wendy's is treating customers to a free Cinnabon Pull-Apart during breakfast hours at participating locations.
Chipotle: free guac for a year
Chipotle is celebrating leap day 2024 with an "Extra Day, Extra Codes." On Monday, the company started a challenge in which customers have to uncover 29 hidden keywords in the content and captions on Chipotle's Instagram account. The challenge runs through Feb. 29.
The chain will select up to 29 winners who will receive free guacamole for the year, The Tennessean reports.
Hooters: $2.29 beer and appetizers
Hooters will offer $2.29 Corona Extra beer or $2.29 select appetizers, including cheese sticks, fried pickles, chips and queso, lots-a-tots, cheese and pretzels or buffalo shrimp, through the Hooters loyalty member app.
Great Wolf Lodge: family suite discounts
Great Wolf Lodge will offer a $29 per person deal on Thursday, Feb. 29, only. The offer is valid for stays between Feb. 29 through June 13. Reservations have to be for a family suite, Sunday through Thursday (no weekends).
BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse: $2.29 Pizookies
BJ's will offer $2.29 Pizookies with a minimum $10 purchase for dine-in customers on Feb. 29.
Insomnia Cookies: free cookie 6-pack
Customers can receive a bonus cookie in honor of February's bonus day with every 12 and 6-pack of cookies purchased now through Sunday. People with leap day birthdays can also get a free 6-pack of cookies on Feb. 29. Proof of birthday is required.
Build-A-Bear Workshop: discounted Birthday Treat bears
Leap day babies can purchase a Birthday Treat Bear for only $4 in-store at Build-A-Bear Workshops on Feb. 29.
Chuck E. Cheese: free all-day jump passes
Children under 52 inches tall can get free all-day jump passes for the trampoline zones at Chuck E. Cheese, per the Democrat & Chronicle. The one-day coupon will be available at ChuckECheese.com on Feb. 29.
Staples: free passport photos
Staples Easy Rewards members, 29,000 to be exact, can get free complimentary passport photos taken in-store on Feb. 29. Also, if you spend $29 or more on leap day, you can receive 29x points.
Bucketheads: leap day party
This Greater Cincinnati sports bar will host a Leap into March party featuring food and drink specials, games and more. People with leap day birthdays will also receive a free gift on Feb. 29.
Perdue: discount on orders $99 or more
Perdue is offering a 29% discount on any purchase of $99 or more on PerdueFarms.com using the code Leap29 from Thursday, Feb. 22, through Thursday, Feb. 29, the company told USA TODAY.
