Video Transcript

ETHAN ALTER: You were very vocal last year, when "Endgame" came out, about wanting Marvel to make an all-female Avengers movie.

[LAUGH]

Have you made any progress on that? Do you know if there's still-- is that something you're still fighting for it?

LETITIA WRIGHT: I don't think we have to fight for it, OK? I think Victoria Alonso is very strong about it in spearheading it alongside Kevin. And, you know, it's only a matter of time before they do it.

ETHAN ALTER: I mean, Shuri is such an icon for black women, for women in general, as this icon of technology and science. Have you been really flattered by the way she's taken on that second life?

LETITIA WRIGHT: Of course, you know, it was always a dream of mine to play someone that can be impactful for not only black women, but also for just women around-- around the world, and young people too. So to be able to have a combination of people and audience members who are so thrilled and appreciative of Shuri is a good feeling. Feel like I've contributed something positive in the world.

ETHAN ALTER: Do you have a dream lineup for your all-female Avengers movie? Captain Marvel? Who do you want to play opposite in that?

LETITIA WRIGHT: Everyone, Danai, Okoye, Nakia, Angela Bassett, Mama-- Mama Angela can be there too, Tessa Thompson, all of us, everyone. Definitely have to have Captain Marvel, definitely.
