Leslie Jones Compares Trump To Heat Miser From This Classic Christmas Movie

Comedian Leslie Jones thinks that whatever President Trump touches starts to melt in his clutches because the "Saturday Night Live" cast member just compared him to Heat Miser from the classic 1974 Christmas movie, "The Year Without a Santa Claus."

The "Ghostbusters" star shared a meme that showed the characters from the stop-action animated film and a picture of the 45th President and Vice President Mike Pence. Both parties were shown in similar poses to drive home the comparison.

"Accurate AF #UGH" Jones wrote in the caption of her post.

Who Is Heat Miser?

Heat Miser and his brother, Snow Miser are the antagonists from the old movie that was based on Phyllis McGinley's 1956 book of the same name. The brothers are the sons of Mother Nature and they control their respected weather patterns. Heat Miser is in charge of warm weather and Snow Miser, if you haven't guessed it already, is in charge of the cold and snow.

We are not going to spoil the whole plot for people who have not seen the classic film but, as you can tell from the title, Santa decides to take a year off. After lots of stop-action hijinks, Heat Miser refuses to let Snow Miser make it snow in a town that is in his territory. It needs to snow in the warm town so a couple of elves and a human can free a reindeer but enough about that.

Her followers thought it was a fair comparison to Trump and Pence.

Do Her Followers Agree?

This may come as a shock, but most of the people who follow the star agreed with her comparison but some did not even know where the colorful characters were from.

"What in the my favorite Christmas carol is going on here??????? 😂" one fan wrote.

Those who did get the reference sounded off in the comments section of her post. "Tragically accurate ☹️," another one of her followers said. Others commented, "You are so on point 😂😂😂😂," and "Too bad there is no Mother Nature to call to get them in line. Literally since they’re both trying to kill it."

"Don’t disrespect Heat Miser and Snow Miser like this!" one anti-Trump user exclaimed.

One Day After Trump's Greta Tweet

Leslie's meme comes just one day after the President took to twitter to slam 16-year-old climate change activist, Greta Thunberg.

It is unclear if Jones' joke is related to the Thunberg situation but it is a funny coincidence that Heat Miser and Snow Miser have to be put in their place by Mother Nature.
