Lenny Kravitz is recalling his all-star high school experience.

Nicolas Cage, Gina Gershon and guitarist Saul Hudson a.k.a. Slash were among the musician’s Beverly Hills High School classmates in the late 1970s, he explained in a new interview with Esquire.

Asked whether he keeps in touch with the "creative group of kids" he grew up with at the Los Angeles school, Kravitz, 59, said, “I do.”

"I just saw Slash, who I went to high school with,” he said. “And Gina Gershon.”

As for Cage — who the “Fly Away” singer admitted he doesn’t see as often — a specific memory came to mind.

“His name was Nic Coppola at that time,” recalled Kravitz. “And I remember doing a play with him.”

Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II's Oklahoma! was that school play, he added. “I was in the orchestra and Nic was on stage… He was singing and dancing and acting and I was playing drums. It was a good time."

Not long after graduating, Cage earned one of his first onscreen credits with a small part in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The eventual Oscar winner then changed his name to distance himself from his uncle, Godfather filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola.

Gershon, who went on to star in Showgirls, Bound and more hit films, has remained close with Kravitz throughout the years. The actress appeared as part of a love triangle in the music video for his 2000 song “Again.”

Slash, lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses, has performed with Kravitz onstage. The two collaborated on 1991 single “Always on the Run,” which then appeared on Kravitz’s album Mama Said.

Kravitz was born in New York City to TV news producer Sy Kravitz and The Jeffersons actress Roxie Roker. He moved to Los Angeles at age 10 and began playing the piano, bass and drums — paving the way toward rock superstardom.

The actor-musician will follow up his 2018 album Raise Vibration with Blue Electric Light, which is set for a March 15, 2024 release. A new song released in October, "TK421," appears to be the first track released from the upcoming album.

The song’s NSFW music video, in which Kravitz dances and washes himself while fully naked, made waves upon its release.

Of baring it all in the video, Kravitz told Esquire his approach was “just going for it.”

“I feel good mentally, spiritually, physically. And anyway, when you see the video, you’ll understand.”
