When it comes to his only child Zoë Kravitz, if she’ s happy, so is Lenny Kravitz.
At the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival, the rockstar was asked about his daughter’s recent engagement to Channing Tatum. He told Entertainment Tonight, “Hey man, that’s life. When your family is happy, when your child is happy, that’s it — I’ve done well. Blessed.”
In late October 2023, it was confirmed that Zoë, 35, and Channing, 43, had gotten engaged after roughly two years of dating. The couple met on the set of her film, P***y Island in 2021. Their romance was confirmed that August.
The High Fidelity actress is no stranger to private engagements. Her ex-husband, Karl Glusman, proposed in their living room in 2018 and when she revealed the news to Rolling Stone, they thought she was joking. The two wed in her father’s Parisian townhouse in June 2019 and divorced 18 months later.
Zoë spoke highly of Glusman after their split, despite filing for divorce in the summer of 2020. “Karl’s an incredible human being. It really is less about him and more about me learning how to ask myself questions about who I am and still learning who I am, and that being okay. That’s the journey I’m on right now,” she explained to Elle.
When it comes to her new beau, the Big Little Lies star gushed to GQ in November 2022, “He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”
Earlier that year, when indirectly speaking on their ultra-private relationship, Zoë told WSJ Magazine, “When you make things with people it’s a very sacred space, and when you’re compatible with somebody creatively it often opens up other channels, because you’re kind of sharing all of yourself.”
Channing was previously married to Jenna Dewan for a decade and they share one daughter, Everly.
