Fans who have always wanted a glimpse into Lenny Kravitz’s morning routine are in luck. The 59-year-old goes from naked in bed to confidently strutting out of the house in the music video for “TK421.”

Dancing through his glamorous bedroom, the Grammy-winning performer takes the digital “get ready with me” trend to a new level. A groggy Kravitz fully awakens as he walks completely nude to open the curtains and let the sunshine in. From the shower to the sink, the rockstar playfully covers his most intimate body parts while delicately cleansing his tattoo-decorated bare skin. In the end, he opts for a leather pair of pants, a sheer top, and a leather jacket to take on the world.

Released on Thursday (Oct. 12), the music video is directed by Tanu Muino.

“Can you feel it, my TK421? Look out baby, try 421. So much better, with my TK421,” sings Kravitz in the upbeat song. According to the Star Wars fandom website, TK421 was the operating number of a human male who was an Imperial stormtrooper during the Galactic Civil War.

“TK421” is the first single released from Kravitz’s upcoming album, Blue Electric Light. The album, his first in six years, is set to drop in March 2024. His last album, Raise Vibration was released in 2018.

“I put out [my book] Let Love Rule during the pandemic. In that I spent a good deal of time talking about how I was not confident with who I was in my teens. I thought I had to have this persona,” shared the New York native with GQ of his upcoming album earlier this year.

“By virtue of doing that, I found my way back to being me and accepting who I am. Somehow, naturally, after writing this book, I went back to exploring what I was doing at that time before I came back to, quote unquote, being myself. So this record is very interesting for me as it’s a celebration of that side of me that never got heard – now reinterpreted with who I am.”
