Lena Dunham Mourns Dead ‘Girls’ Actor Nick Lashaway

Lena Dunham has experienced a death in her showbiz family.

The “Girls” star took to Instagram on Wednesday to grieve for the death of actor Nick Lashaway, who appeared on one episode of the HBO series.

“Just heard the incredibly sad news that Nick Lashaway was killed in a car accident on May 8th,” Dunham wrote. “Nick was such a talented, funny and kind person and we were so lucky to have him as a part of the Girls family when he played Frank in episode 207.”

The episode that Lashaway appeared on, “Video Games,” aired in 2013.

Dunham included a picture of the two of them together.

“We will always remember the week we shared with him, his playful smile and his easy instincts and how much he made us laugh when we had to stay up all night in the woods,” the actress continued. “We are sending love to his family and friends and feeling such gratitude for his gifts. RIP sweet Nick.”

Lashaway’s credits also included “The X-Files,” “Addiction: A 60’s Love Story” and “Prayer Never Fails.”

According to the MetroWest Daily News, Lashaway was killed in a three-car crash in Framingham, Massachusetts.
