Leila Cavett’s Family Says They Believe She May Have Gone To Florida To Meet A Man She Met Online

Twenty-one-year-old Leila Cavett has not been seen since late July 2020. Her 2-year-old son, Kamdyn, was discovered wandering by himself in an apartment complex parking lot July 26, wearing only a T-shirt and diaper. Leila’s white truck was found two miles away from where Kamdyn was found. TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Are you involved in a story making headlines? Leila’s family says they’re trying to determine why the young mom, who lived in Georgia, would have driven 700 miles to Florida when they don’t believe she knew anyone there and never told them she was leaving. They say her cell phone may hold the clues. “There was a post made on Facebook that was a screenshot of a post that she had made, and then on the top of her phone, in one of her tabs, you can see a dating app, and that’s when the first indication had grown that she had met somebody in Florida,” Curtis Cavett, Leila’s younger brother, tells Dr. Phil in an exclusive interview airing Thursday.
