Tonight on “LEGO Masters,” grab your goggles because this week’s challenge calls for teams to embrace the fury of a volcanic eruption in their builds. In only 12 hours, the builders must skillfully construct a scene that weaves a captivating tale inspired by their chosen biome. It is crucial for each duo to execute an explosion and create a compelling narrative in their build to stay in the competition in the all-new “Volcanic Brickruptions” episode of “LEGO Masters” airing Thursday, October 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Follow our live blog below.

With an infinite amount of LEGO bricks, the realm of possibilities is endless. These ambitious teams of two will battle it out for the chance to win a $100,000 cash prize, the ultimate LEGO trophy, the title of LEGO MASTERS and for the first time ever, the winning build will be turned into an actual LEGO set. SEE ‘LEGO Masters’: Brickmasters Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard say season 4 is ‘so beyond what I was expecting was even possible’ [WATCH]

These are the teams still in the running for this year’s title: Allyson & Melanie (friends), Aubree & Ryan (married), Christopher & Robert (tech bros), David (Poppy) & Ben (grandfather/grandson), Emilee & Kelly (competitive moms), Jordan & Chris (best friends), Luis & Alex (teachers), Neena & Sam (mother/son), Paul & Nealita (siblings) and Tim & Tim (friends). See all this season’s contestants in the gallery above.

9:00 p.m. — Previously on “LEGO Masters”! In episode 2, builders took on the cutest challenge in “LEGO Masters” history – building pet palaces for kittens. With 10 hours on the clock, each team captured their cat’s unique personality and interests to create an interactive space. In the end, mother/son duo Neena & Sam took the top prize and the Golden Brick. The Brickmasters sent married grandmas Karen & Amie home for “Felix’s Fort,” which didn’t measure up in scale to the other teams. Who will go home tonight? “LEGO Masters” starts meow!

9:05 p.m. — The contestants enter the build room to find a massive exploding volcano. Will and the Brickmasters arrive to explain this week’s challenge will see the builders create a volcano — each from a different environment — and then load them up and set them up for the most epic eruptions we’ve ever seen. The Brickmasters are looking for storytelling, epic legends and finding a way to rise up from the competition. Each environment has two launching pads, which means each team will face off with one other team with their same environment. They have 12 hours to build. Get your brick on!

9:15 p.m. — Paul & Nealita are working in the arctic environment are arguing over the structure. Nealita thinks Paul is making things way too complicated. Emilee & Kelly will face off with Allyson & Melanie in the “Above the Clouds” environment. The competitive moms are using their volcano to “make it rain!” We see each team beginning their builds while Christopher & Robert and Aubree & Ryan develop a bit of a rivalry. Amy says she wants to see great stories come from these five environments. Neena & Sam have the advantage of the Golden Brick, allowing them to opt out if they aren’t happy with their build. Will they use it this early or hold onto it?

9:30 p.m. — Will is always an instigator and prompts Christopher & Robert to take on the role as this season’s villains, evil laugh and all. The Brickmasters seem concerned about Jordan & Chris who look like they’re not going for a typical volcano shape. It’s exciting, but a risk. With half the time gone, builders begin to get a little frantic. Jamie says Poppy & Ben have a great aesthetic, but they need finishing details. If anyone is struggling, it could be Neena & Sam, who have a massive volcano that looks quite empty, lacking color and detail. Jordan & Chris have an ambitious build, but the Brickmasters don’t understand where the volcano element will come into play. Time expires and it’s time to check out these volcanoes!

9:35 p.m. — Before the judgement begins, Neena & Sam announce they will not be turning in their Golden Brick. That means no one is safe. Up first from the Oceans & Seas environment are Luis & Alex with “Temple of the Sea God.” The Brickmasters call this “super impressive” and love how the lava flows down. It has great detail. Next are Tim & Tim with “The Big Plunge.” Amy says it was nice to see their “playfullness” come through and see the lava trigger the fish swimming around.

9:40 p.m. — Poppy & Ben are next with “City of the Scorpion Worshippers” from the Desert environment. Jamie says this is the model they’ve been hoping to see from this duo. It’s big, exciting and full of imagination. Next are Jordan & Chris with “The Ancient Awakening.” This build disappoints the Brickmasters when the lava doesn’t quite get their wheel spinning, failing to raise the serpent. Amy says they sold them on a “wow moment” with a snake popping up and it failed to deliver. Jamie is struggling to find even a hint of a volcano in this build. Yikes!

9:45 p.m. — From the “In the Clouds” environment are Allyson & Melanie with “Ka-Boom Box: The Rockano!” Amy loves how they leaned into the theme and created a whole world that feels like it belongs above the clouds. Next are Emilee & Kelly with “Rainmaker Island.” Jamie calls it “super playful” with a strong execution. Now it’s Aubree & Ryan with “Temple of Gold.” Amy calls it a “gorgeous” model, rich in details. They also have a fantastic story. Christopher & Robert have “Jungle Bastion of the Sun.” This one looks incredibly fun and detailed. Jamie calls it their best build yet, showing a “polishing touch.”

9:53 p.m. — From the Arctic Ice environment are Neena & Sam with “Penguin Island.” When the volcano erupts one of their miners flies off the track and onto the floor. Then lava seeps out of a crack in the structure, coming out the bottom. This is sort of a disaster and Jamie calls it “quite disappointing.” Amy wishes they would have amped up the arctic environment. These two seem destined for the bottom two, which will not only cost them their Golden Brick, but could send them home since they already opted not to use it. It looks like they made the wrong choice. Next up are Paul & Nealita with “The Legend of Arctic Island.” Jamie thinks this was “really exciting to see” and works really well.

10:00 p.m. — The Brickmasters have deliberated and name the top two teams: Poppy & Ben and Christopher & Robert. But who has the best build? The winners of this challenge are Poppy & Ben! Now it’s time for this week’s elimination. The bottom two teams are Jordan & Chris and Neena & Sam. Because they’re in the bottom two, Neena & Sam must turn in the Golden Brick. This has never happened in the history of the show. But will they actually go home? The team being eliminated tonight is Jordan & Chris.  Jordan says it’s “been a joy to be here.” Chris calls it “a blessing” and hopes to remain in contact with the new friends they’ve made.
