The Legend of Shen Li Ep 27 Recap & Spoilers: Can Zhao Liying Recognize Lin Gengxin?

The ongoing Xianxia C-drama The Legend of Shen Li released episode 27 on April 2, 2024. It features Lin Gengxin and Zhao Liying in the lead roles. The episode primarily focuses on Shen Li (Zhao Liying) realizing how Xing Zhi (Lin Gengxin) has been protecting her from afar. After saving Shen Li from Mo Fang, Xing Zhi has been communicating with her under the guise of a fisherman, Mr. Yu Yi. Shen Li decides to go along with his lies even though she knows his true identity.

Shen Li shows him her gratitude for removing the poison darts from her limbs. She doesn’t want to bother him any longer, but she can not move on her own yet. She requests him to give her shelter for a few more days and promises to compensate him fairly.

Yu Yi tells Shen Li that he needs to go to work as he spent the last few days taking care of Shen Li. He asks Shen Li to grant him two wishes, as she wouldn’t live if it was not for him. Shen Li is baffled at the strange man’s impudence but decides to go along with it for the time being. She agrees to grant him two wishes, as long as they are within her power.

The Legend of Shen Li ep 27: Zhao Liying understands how Lin Gengxin protected her from afar

Zhao Liying finds it amusing that Xing Zhi has been trying so hard to hide his identity. She tells him the house has no sign of life to see his reaction. She asks him for something to eat. When Yu Yi asks her what she wants to eat, she asks him to make her some roasted fish. She thinks it is funny and that Xing Zhi deserves all this trouble.

Xing Zhi struggles to catch a fish. Shen Li teases him about his lack of basic skills. Frustrated, Xing Zhi goes to the sea realm and asks the king for his help. The king misunderstands his words and gets him a beautiful mermaid. But Xing Zhi gets annoyed. Then, he asks for two fish that he can cook.

The next day, Xing Zhi prepares an elaborate meal for Shen Li and feeds her with his own hands. Shen Li tells him that she needs to train her body as she still is not able to move her limbs. She struggles to stand up but keeps training herself. She tires herself out after falling down several times. Meanwhile, You Lan (Jackie Li) sends Furong (He Yu) to check up on Xing Zhi.

In episode 27 of The Legend of Shen Li, Shen Li keeps putting herself in danger as she continues to train with her eyes closed. She looks for ways to successfully hold a spear in her hand and to protect her clan. She almost hits Xing Zhi with a stick and pokes him in the eye mistakenly. When she apologizes, Xing Zhi tells her that she doesn’t need to hold herself back when she is with him. Shen Li understands how he has been watching over her in his own way.

The Legend of Shen Li airs throughout the week and is available to stream on Tencent Video, WeTV, and Viki.
