As many expected, former US President Donald Trump’s NYC fraud trial has been the hot-button issue that every legal expert, body language expert, and lawyer has been talking about. All the details are fair game to pick apart, especially when it comes to his children Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump’s testimonies.

Specifically, one legal expert claims that Donald Jr may end up losing the most credibility out of the three of them. The former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, Barbara McQuade, told MSNBC via OK that Donald Jr’s strategy may end up haunting him.

“It’s going to be very difficult for Donald Trump Jr. to really have a lot of credibility here,” McQuade said. “His whole strategy, when he testified previously, was to distance himself from knowledge about these things. That it was all about the accountants, I don’t really pay much attention to this, sure, maybe I signed off on these things. But remember, he gave that press conference at the end of his testimony where he said ‘I relied on accountants to do, wait for it, accounting.’”

She added, “It’s going to be difficult for him, I think, to now say anything with any authority, other than to repeat what he’s already said.”

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – NOVEMBER 02: Donald Trump Jr. and his brother Eric Trump arrive at New York Supreme Court for former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial on November 02, 2023 in New York City. Trump’s children, Donald Jr., Eric and daughter Ivanka, are all expected to testify at their father’s trial in the coming days. The former president may be forced to sell off his properties after Justice Engoron canceled his business certificates and ruled that he committed fraud for years while building his real estate empire after being sued by Attorney General Letitia James, seeking $250 million in damages. The trial will determine how much he and his companies will be penalized for the fraud. (Photo by David Dee Delgado/Getty Images)

Basically, McQuade claims that Donald Jr may have to repeat his points numerous times, and that his credibility may be in question because of the way he’s handled the trial.

However, Donald Jr hasn’t been the only one to be put under the microscope. For instance, legal experts claim Eric’s actions in the courtroom won’t do anything to benefit the family, and rather make him come off poor.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – NOVEMBER 08: Ivanka Trump, daughter of former President Donald Trump, departs court after testifying at his civil fraud trial on November 08, 2023 in New York City. Former President Trump has testified in the case that alleges he and his two sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump conspired to inflate his net worth on financial statements provided to banks and insurers to secure loans. New York Attorney General Letitia James has sued seeking $250 million in damages. Ivanka Trump testified today after her lawyers were unable to block her testimony. And as for Ivanka, a former aide claimed her demeanor on the stand is a stark contrast to who she was when she worked in the White House with her.

So it seems while all of Donald and Ivana Trump’s children may be under scrutiny for their actions when on the stand, this legal expert thinks the Liberal Privilege author will get the most heat from it all.
