The Season 9 'American Idol' winner discusses making a name for himself and forging an indie path, eight years after his 'Idol' run.
Kalohe: I live here in Utah. The truth of the matter is McAdams did a real good job fixing up a major area of downtown that was seedy, full of drugs, homeless people, he worked hard. With Mia Love (and I am Republican), she started her victory speech with "I'm the first black to hold this position". It never got better. She refused to meet with constituents at home town meetings, hardly did anything that I knew about in Washington, but what killed it all was she (legally, so we are told) kept over $1 million dollars of campaign money because she received those funds when knowingly there was NO CHALLENGER. It just smacked of getting paid under the table for no reason, then putting that money into her personal checking account, when she should have sent that money back. So, she did nothing for us, and was voted out by a man who has proven to work hard. I don't regret losing her party seat, if Ben will work for UTAH as promised.
