LeBron James is a busy man; so busy, in fact, that he hasn’t heard the single that heated up the Web on New Year’s Eve, Kanye West’s “Facts.”

“I haven’t really listened to it. I heard about it but I haven’t listened to it,” said the Cavaliers’ superstar to Cleveland.com on Monday (Jan. 4).

West’s take on Drake and Future’s “Jumpman” throws several jabs at Nike, who was the original distributor of his Air Yeezy kicks (he is now partnering with Adidas after claiming that Nike withheld royalties from him). He even went as far as to name check King James, who recently inked a multi-million dollar deal with ‘Ye’s creative nemesis. James’s deal ensures that he will be handsomely paid by the company throughout his lifetime.

“Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves// Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away.”

Although he has turned a relatively blind eye to the track, LeBron had some words about standing behind his brand amidst the diss.

“Obviously I’m going to side with Nike no matter who it is,” he said. “It’s just, it’s family when you talk about Nike, and I’m always on their side no matter what the situation is, so. We don’t look upon nobody on our side, we just try to put the best athletes that we can out on the floor every night.”

Many others have spoken out on Kanye’s song. Marcus Jordan, son of the OG Jumpman Michael Jordan, offered a chuckle and a tweet after hearing the NYE joint, while Lakers player Nick “Swaggy P” Young–who was also name dropped in the track–credits the song for his team’s recent winning streak.
