Lebron James Joins Lakers Fans in 'Taco Tuesday' Chant

Los Angeles Lakers star Lebron James joined fans of the team as they chanted “Taco Tuesday” at the Staples Center on Tuesday, October 29.

Footage posted to Twitter by Lakers fan and Twitter user @ali_behpoornia shows large sections of the crowd chanting about the traditional Mexican dish during the Lakers’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies; much to the delight of James.

James, who frequently celebrates “Taco Tuesday”, filed a trademark for the term in August of this year. According to reports, the filing indicates he intends to continue offering his popular “Taco Tuesday” posts on social media and launch a podcast under the name.

On Tuesday, Lebron, whose family was forced to evacuate their home due to the Getty Fire, sent a taco truck to feed first responders battling the blaze.

“Thank you, @KingJames, for generously sending a taco truck to support our @LAFD firefighters, first responders, and partner agencies working to fight the #GettyFire," Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted. Credit: @ali_behpoornia via Storyful
