Los Angeles Lakers forward and Akron native LeBron James came off the bench for just the second time in his career after a 13-game stretch of dealing with a foot injury. He scored 19 points and grabbed eight points in 118-108 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

James and the Lakers find themselves in a familiar position, once again fighting in a scrum at the bottom of the NBA’s Western Conference to earn a spot in the play-in tournament. Currently, the Lakers sit at ninth in the standings. The teams at seventh and eighth earn the right to play for a spot in the playoffs.
