LeAnn Rimes Posts Epic Throwback Pic With Now-Husband Eddie Cibrian

A picture’s worth a thousand words, and two divorces, and one celebrity cheating scandal. (Isn’t that how it goes?) On the eve of her five-year anniversary with now-husband Eddie Cibrian, LeAnn Rimes shared a throwback snap of the pair when they met years ago. Rimes and Cibrian hooked up after filming the awesome made-for-TV movie Northern Lights in 2009 — the only wrinkle was that they were both married to other people at the time: Rimes, to chef Dean Sheremet, and Cibrian to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville. (Though the scandal pre-dates the show and, technically, Glanville isn’t on that show anymore either.)

As it turns out, Rimes and Cibrian had met years before that even.

“I was 14, he was 23,” Rimes wrote alongside a picture of herself cuddled up next to the hunky actor, who is nine years her senior. (The age gap seems more dramatic when she’s still too young to drive.) “We don’t remember meeting.”

They might not remember it, but it sure looks like they were having a good time. Both stars sport glowing smiles and he has his arm wrapped around her back. Based on the date, it was probably around the time that she had just rocketed to fame with her critically and commercially acclaimed album, Blue.

“He found this in the garage while going through boxes. 14 years later who knew we’d meet again,” Rimes mused. “Crazy, all the life that happened between those two encounters, the lessons that needed to be learned. Fate? Chance? Serendipity? Who knows? All we do know is, here we are together and tomorrow we are celebrating 5 years of being married and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”

But just because it’s wedded bliss for Rimes and Cibrian hardly means the waters are now calm. Rimes and Glanville have feuded, on and off, pretty much ever since the news broke — most often about the two children that Glanville shares with Cibrian.

Sheremet has stayed out of the fray, relatively speaking, but as recently as this February, Glanville and Sheremet were still talking about what went down way back when.

“Well, I could’ve shut the f**k up and I didn’t,” 43 year old Glanville explained to 35 year old Sheremet on her podcast, of her initial reaction to the scandal. “I’m a fighter and I’m feisty. And you held back so much and you’re so honorable with the way you handled things and you’re classy. And people were like, ‘Brandi, take the high road,’ and I was like, ‘Bitch, I’m afraid of heights. I don’t even know what the high road is!’”

For his part, Sheremet, who just released a new cookbook, was a bit calmer. “Standing here, seven years later, I’m like, ‘I probably annoyed her and did some weird things,’” he said. “[But] I have no ill will towards her.”
