Leah Remini Says She Hates Sweet Potatoes 'More Now' During Thanksgiving Cooking Rant: 'What Am I Doing Wrong?'

"It’s not shaped right!" she said in an Instagram video the night before Thanksgiving

Leah Remini is not having it with sweet potatoes this holiday season (or probably ever).

The Emmy Award winner went on an Instagram rant on Wednesday evening about her struggles with peeling sweet potatoes that she was going to need to make a casserole with marshmallows.

“I’ve been at this for 20 minutes and I’ve only peeled two — I mean, am I doing something wrong?” she says in the brief video as she struggles to peel the rough edges of two potatoes.

“It’s not shaped right," she continues in a flustered voice. She shows a bumpy angle of one of the potatoes. "How do you peel it here? What am I doing wrong?”

She captioned her funny video, "I hate sweet potatoes more now than I did before! Happy Thanksgiving!"

Her fans quickly jumped in with tips.

“Girl! Don’t work yourself like that! Roast them and they fall right out of the skin. 400° for about 65 minutes,” one fan wrote, offering up her own “perfect recipe” for a casserole.

Some others said it’s time for a new peeler.

“That peeler from 1975 might be an issue,” joked one user.

Though probably the best advice was to simply use canned yams. "Nobody’s gonna know," wrote one user.

Sweet potatoes or not, Remini seems to have had an eventful year to be thankful for. Over the summer, she celebrated completing her second semester at NYU while also marking her 10-year anniversary of leaving the church of Scientology.
