Leading Distribution Partners Launched by Industry Vets Ahead of Mipcom (EXCLUSIVE)

CANNES  —  A group of television industry veterans have teamed up to create new sales company Leading Distribution Partners, which will debut at next week’s Mipcom TV confab on the French Riviera.

Howard Braunstein, Alexandre Coscas, Michael R. Goldstein and Ben C. Silverman are partnering for the new venture that will license both their own and third party content to a full spectrum of global distribution platforms, including TV movies, series and feature films.

Gavin Tyler Reardon has been appointed president of global distribution at LDP, with Braunstein, Coscas, Goldstein and Ben C. Silverman serving as partners.

Prior to joining LDP, Reardon was in charge of sales and co-productions for Incendo, the Canadian production and distribution company known for the Netflix series “Versailles.”

In his 40-year career, Reardon has also held president positions at IM Global Television and GRB Entertainment, among others.

“Through the formation of LDP, the partners have established a company that is ideally positioned to be an ongoing and go-to supplier of top-quality TV movies and additional content to buyers across the world,” he said.

“We look forward to meeting with potential new partners at Mipcom and to continue curating a slate of top-class content across multiple genres for the long-term.”

LDP’s debut slate is lead by recent and upcoming Hallmark Channel and Lifetime TV original television movies, which includes thrillers, rom-coms, holiday and mystery.

Its launch lineup includes the Hallmark Original mystery titles “Curious Caterer: Grilling Season,” and “Curious Caterer: Fatal Vows,” rom-coms “Game of Love,” and “A Winning Team,” and holiday movies “Holiday Road” and “My Norwegian Holiday.”

Additional titles on the slate include new Lifetime thriller movies “Abducted By My Teacher: The Elizabeth Thomas Story,” which stars Summer Howell and Michael Fishman, alongside “Bad Romance: The Vicky White Story,” starring Wendi McLendon-Covey and Rossif Sutherland.

Braunstein is a two-time Emmy Award nominee, and has produced hundreds of movies for television and a number of one-hour series for such networks including  TNT and Lifetime TV.

Coscas is focused on producing and developing television movies and series based on formats, books, graphic novels and other IP, alongside an independent film slate.

Goldstein is an independent television and film producer who has more than two dozen projects in development, both in the U.S. and around the world with networks including ABC, Fox, Bravo, Netflix, Hulu, The Disney Channel and The Hallmark Channel.

Silverman is a founding partner in the L.A.-based literary management company, Navigation Media Group. He is also the president of the Vancouver-based Integral Artists Agency and serves as executive chair of Canadian film distributor, Level Film.
