The Shannon family is trying to stick together in the wake of their matriarch's downward spiral as she battles drug addiction and a volatile relationship.

"Love seeing her be the best she can possibly be ❤️ love you little sissy," Pumpkin captioned a photo of the two sisters.

It's been quite a change for Alana, as she now lives with Pumpkin and her family while Mama June has abandoned her kids for boyfriend, Geno Doak.

Alana and Pumpkin had been leading the charge in trying to get June help, as she has also been abusing illegal drugs. We're told interventions have been staged, but June has refused any help from her relatives and continues to stay with Geno.

June even sold off the family home in Hampton, GA and has been finding temporary living situations by checking in and out of casinos and hotels.

Hoping to keep the family together, Pumpkin took Alana into her own home and has been acting as the girl's defacto guardian and mother.

Since she's been thriving, Alana recently took some time to recognize the adversity she's been overcoming.

"Can we just be real for a second ?" Honey Boo Boo began her post.

"let me tell y’all how proud i am of myself! i have honestly been thought [sic] hell and back this year! and i’m still standing! i have been doing so good in school ! and just being more happy! i get so much hate but then i think about who all loves me and i know them haters mean nothing ! i have so much going for me and so many people that love me ! and the best words you can hear is i see you trying i’m so proud of you! but really that feeling is a whole different story! knowing you are making people happy and most importantly you , hits so different ! let me just be the one to tell y’all if you are going through anything right now trust me it gets better you are worth it , i’m so proud of you , i can see you trying , i love you!"

Mama June's WE tv show, "From Not to Hot," is still in production and appears to be chronicling the help the family is trying to get the reality star.

Regardless if June decides to turn her life around, it's good to know her girls will be able to take care of themselves.
