Mama June: From Not To Hot star Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon is drawing some criticism on Instagram with her latest post about the controversial diet drink, BoomBod. In her recent post, Pumpkin pushed the shot as a way to start the new year.

She's Been Shilling For About A Year
It's not unusual to see reality stars engaging in sponsored content, and this has been a pretty regular gig for Shannon for about a year. She posts a number of photos of herself with her belly exposed, extolling the virtues of BoomBod at length. She posted on her birthday:

Fans Are Upset
In the UK, BoomBod did not meet the standards of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and several reality stars had to take down posts promoting the product as they did not properly communicate the risks of the hunger suppressant.
There has been no such oversight in the US, but Shannon's 429k Instagram followers have plenty to say about it. Each time she shares sponsored content, people have A LOT to say.

Taking Care Of Honey Boo Boo
Despite her controversial sponcon choices, Shannon is doing her best to take care of her famous sister, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson while their mother, "Mama June" Shannon, reckons with legal problems and a bad boyfriend.
Shannon posted back in August for Alana's 14th birthday:
