Lauren Lapkus Joins Will Ferrell-John C. Reilly Comedy ‘Holmes & Watson’

EXCLUSIVE: Lauren Lapkus has been added to the cast of Sony PicturesHolmes & Watson which stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. Etan Cohen (Get Hard) is directing a script he wrote that was inspired by the Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes tales but with PG-13 comic spin. The pic marks a reunion for Ferrell and Reilly, who co-starred together in Step Brothers and Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby.

The film will be produced by Mosaic and Gary Sanchez, and production is said to begin right after Thanksgiving.

Lapkus will play Millie, who has a mind that gives Sherlock a run for his money, and as a result he becomes very taken with her, somewhat obsessed. Perhaps best known for her role as Susan Fischer on Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black, Lapkus has a recurring role in the upcoming Judd Apatow-Pete Holmes HBO series Crashing and most recently was on the big screen in Universal’s blockbuster Jurassic World.

She is repped by UTA and Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment.
