Lauren Conrad on Her Hills Showmance with Brody Jenner: 'We Had Zero Chemistry'
Lauren Conrad is setting the record straight on her past relationship with Brody Jenner.
During MTV's Tuesday night hour-long The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now special, which looked back at the behind-the-scenes drama on http://www.people.com/people/news/category/0,,MediaProductsTax:TVTheHills,00.html The Hills, 30-year-old Conrad addressed her previous romance with 32-year-old Jenner.
"I definitely had a crush on Brody, but the funny thing was we had zero chemistry," the Celebrate author and fashion designer revealed in the 10-year anniversary special.
"He was my friend. I enjoyed spending time with him, but it just always felt forced," Conrad, who is now married to lawyer William Tell, explained of her friendship with Jenner.
"We knew the cameras were making it look like more than it was and there was so much pressure on me at that point to get a boyfriend or date someone who was willing to film that I just sort of let them do whatever they wanted," she shared.
Though the former reality starlet admitted that the show "doesn't always bring back the best of memories" and she "never loved being on camera," she wouldn't trade her experiences on the TV show.
"Knowing what I know now, looking back I would absolutely do it again. It brought so much good to my life," Conrad said at the close of That Was Then, This Is Now. "While it was hard at times, it brought me to a place where I'm really happy and I get to do what I love and I feel really lucky. So, going back I would still do it again."
