Baumbach and actress Emily Mortimer wrote the screenplay for the film. Plot details are largely being kept under wraps, but the logline for the film reads: “A funny and emotional coming-of-age film about adults.”

Baumbach will also produce the film, alongside Amy Pascal and David Heyman, who worked with Baumbach on Marriage Story and also produced Barbie, which the filmmaker co-wrote with Greta Gerwig.

This will be Baumbach’s fourth feature for Netflix, following White NoiseMarriage Story and the Sandler starrer The Meyerowitz Stories. Baumbach’s Marriage Story racked up six Oscar nominations, including for best picture. Most recently, Baumbach was in theaters with the global phenom Barbie, which has grossed over $1.44 billion globally.

Dern’s upcoming credits include the Apple series Palm Royale and Netflix romance Lonely Planet. She was last in theaters with Jurassic World: Dominion.

Keough recently earned awards attention for her role in Amazon series Daisy Jones and The Six. She was on hand at the Sundance Film Festival with Sasquatch Sunset, which will also be playing at SXSW before heading to theaters.

Crudup was most recently seen in the latest season of Apple TV+ series The Morning Show.
