Laughter Is the Most Lethal Weapon on ‘Lethal Weapon’
The Lethal Weapon TV show has captured what made the movies so popular: a good mix of action and comedy. Damon Wayans plays the role of detective Roger Murtaugh, made famous by Danny Glover, and is the source of most of the comedy.
On Wednesday’s episode, Murtaugh stopped by his wife’s office, where she was with her new, handsome assistant, Desmond. Murtaugh became jealous and territorial, referring to him as “Denzel” (alluding to Denzel Washington) and informing him that he is a cop and he sees a lot of dead bodies.
Later in the episode, when Murtaugh accidentally walked into a tripwire attached to an IED, he begged his partner, Riggs, to tell his wife: “She cannot remarry. She has to die alone. And tell her that she has to fire Desmond!”
