Laugh for a cause: 'Sand-up Comedy Festival' coming to Santa Rosa Beach
SANTA ROSA BEACH — Telling jokes for a good cause. It's something to stand up for.
In February, the inaugural "Sand Up Comedy Festival" is coming to four venues in south Walton County, with all proceeds benefiting the SOWAL Foundation.
Featuring more than 20 talented comedians, the event will last four nights from Feb. 14 to 17 across four venues: SOWAL House, The Seaside Institute, Distillery 98 and Grayton Beer Company Taproom.
According to its website, the SOWAL Foundation is a nonprofit that empowers and uplifts local artists, fashion designers and filmmakers along the Emerald Coast.
"We are excited to bring this exceptional comedy festival to the Emerald Coast," Jessica Plowden Anderson, executive director of the SOWAL Foundation, said in a press release. "Our goal is to create an unforgettable experience for both local residents and visitors while supporting the comedy and arts community."
