Latto Donates $35K To Former High School

Latto has received many blessings from her hard work over the last few years and decided to be a blessing to someone else. The 24-year-old rapper recently donated $35,000 to her former high school.
The Atlanta rapper visited Lovejoy High School in Hampton, Ga., this past Friday (Oct. 6). She purchased food from Wingstop, whom she partnered with back in July for The Latto Meal and Lemon Herb Remix wing flavors, but didn’t stop there.
Lovejoy High School was in the midst of celebrating their annual homecoming and the “Issa Party” rapper wanted to add to the festivities. She presented them with a huge paper check signed by “Big Latto” in the amount of $35,000. Check out photos of her posing with students below.

Latto has been on a huge run musically in 2023. Her track “Put It On Da Floor Again” with Cardi B took over the summer, and she recently paid homage to Waka Flocka Flame with “Issa Party” featuring BabyDrill. She spoke to VIBE this month about what has been motivating her throughout 2023.
“I don’t know. I just feel like [the] temperature rising and baby, I’m going harder than I ever been,” she said. “I think people be forgetting that I’ve been rapping since [I was] eight years old. The passion is there. I really just love music. So, I’m not going nowhere no time soon. I really love what I do and I’m having fun with it.”
Outside of music, the two-time Grammy nominee has been racking up brand partnerships. She was recently announced as the face of HALLS “Rapper Wrote This Wrapper” campaign when she was tasked with updating the motivational quotes found inside the cough drops’ wrappers. “I just kept it very short and simple,” she said. “My idea of motivational quotes, things that I would say in real life. So for example, one of them is, ’Keep it 100.’ So it’s just very short, simple, straight to the point. Just kind of what I felt like I would want to see when I opened up a cough drop.” Check out the promotional trailer below.
