A musical collaboration that many may have not seen coming just may be underway. Latto and Christina Aguilera have hinted that they have something in the works together that could be dropping soon.

On Tuesday (Oct. 10), the “Put It On Da Floor” rapper tweeted to the pop star, “Should we tell them? @xtina,” to which Aguilera responded, “I think it’s time babe.”

This wouldn’t be the first time the 24-year-old linked up with a coveted songstress.

Latto sampled Mariah Carey’s 1995 hit “Fantasy” on her award-nominated song “Big Energy.” Shortly afterward, she also had a chance to perform the original with the icon at the 2022 BET Awards. Wu-Tang Clan’s Old Dirty Bastard’s son, Young Dirty Bastard, also joined the two to rap his father’s verse. Latto ended her performance by literally giving Ms. Carey her flowers.

Speaking of another unforeseen collaboration, Latto scored her first Hot 100 No. 1 after joining BTS’ Jung Kook for the song “Seven.” The collab won Song of The Summer at the 2023 MTV VMAs. Ahead of her K-Pop cross over, she also topped the charts with “Put It Da Floor Again” featuring Cardi B and other collabs including ones with Lola Brooke, Sexyy Red, and Yung Nudy.

Aguilera is also no stranger to working with Hip-Hop artists from all eras. The “Dirrty” singer has worked with Ludacris, Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, Redman, Nicki Minaj, Diddy, Ty Dolla $ign, and 2 Chainz to name a few.

Her most notable Hip-Hop/R&B hit has to be “Lady Marmalade” which saw the union of Aguilera, Pink, Lil’ Kim, and Mýa.
