Latin music superstar Becky G delights fans in El Paso

Fans flocked to El Paso's Abraham Chavez Theatre to see award-winning Latin music superstar Becky G, who arrived in the city only days after the release of her latest album.

Becky G, born Rebecca Marie Gomez, touched down in El Paso as part of her "Mi Casa, Tu Casa" tour in support of her second studio album, "Esquemas," released Sept. 28.

The new album is a departure from her typical pop stylings and represents her first in the Regional Mexican genre, which has risen to global prominence largely on the back of international superstar Peso Pluma.

The album, dedicated to her grandparents who emigrated to the United States from Mexico, was released in May and has already been certified three-times Platinum by the Latin Recording Industry Association of America. Her most recent single, "Chanel," featuring Peso Pluma, reached the Top 10 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs Chart.

What's next for Becky G?

Though her performance in El Paso on Oct. 3 has come and gone, fans will have a chance to see her again later this year. Becky G will perform in California and take the stage in Phoenix, Arizona, on Oct. 14 at the Arizona State Fairgrounds.
