Latin Grammys 2019: Everything you need to know about the biggest night in Latin music
The 20th annual Latin Grammy Awards are set to take place Thursday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will air on Univision (8 p.m. EST). Nicknamed "the Biggest Night in Latin Music," the show will honor a diverse group of artists hailing primarily from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the U.S. In recent years, top winners have included Luis Miguel, Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi and Shakira.
Similar to the Grammys, the Latin Grammys are voted on by the Latin Recording Academy, and top categories include album, song and record of the year, as well as best new artist.
Before the star-studded event, here's everything you need to know about who's hosting, presenting and performing this year.

Ricky Martin will co-host
The Puerto Rican superstar performed at the first Latin Grammys ceremony in 2000, a year after his crossover hit "Livin' La Vida Loca" peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. This year, he'll co-host the show with actresses Roselyn Sanchez (ABC's "Grand Hotel") and Paz Vega ("Rambo: Last Blood").
Alejandro Sanz, Rosalia, Camila Cabello lead the nominees
Sanz tops this year's nominations with eight, including record and song of the year for "No Tengo Nada," and album of the year for "#Eldisco." The Spanish balladeer is joined in the latter category by Paula Arenas ("Visceral"), Ruben Blades ("Paraiso Road Gang"), Andres Calamaro ("Cargar La Suerte"), Fonseca ("Agustín"), Luis Fonsi ("Vida"), Rosalia ("El Mal Querer"), Ximena Sarinana ("¿Dónde Bailaran Las Ninas?"), Tony Succar ("Mas De Mi") and Sebastian Yatra ("Fantasia").
Flamenco pop star Rosalia has five nods, including record of the year for "Aute Cuture." She is joined in the category by "Senorita" hitmaker Camila Cabello, who is also up for song of the year and best pop song for Sanz collaboration "Mi Persona Favorita."
Sanz, Alicia Keys, Miguel, Prince Royce and Alessia Cara will perform
Cara will presumably sing "Querer Mejor," her record and song-of-the-year-nominated duet with Juanes, who will be honored as the 2019 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year and perform a medley of his hits. Other performers include Ozuna, vying for best urban song with Vicente Saavedra for "Baila Baila Baila"; Bad Bunny, up for best urban music album ("X100PRE") and urban fusion/performance ("Tenemos Que Hablar"); and Tony Succar, nominated for album of the year ("Mas De Mi").
Also on the packed performance roster: Aitana, Anitta, Farruko, Residente, Calibre 50, Beto Cuevas, Leonel Garcia, Milly Quezada, Fito Paez, Pedro Capo, Julio Reyes Copello, Darell, Dimelo Flow, Fonseca, Luis Fonsi, Greeicy, Intocable, Nella, Reik, Rosalia, Pepe Aguilar and Los Angeles Azules, Paula Arenas, Draco Rosa, Ximena Sarinana, Sech, Sebastian Yatra, Natalia Jimenez, Olga Tanon, and Alejandro and Vicente Fernandez.
Sofia Carson and Michael Pena are presenters
The actors – best known for Disney Channel's "Austin & Ally" and the "Ant-Man" franchise, respectively – will take the stage to present awards. Other presenters include Angela Aguilar, Eduardo “Visitante” Cabra, Emilio Estefan, Mon Laferte, Tommy Torres, Kany Garcia, Christian Nodal, William Levy, Rudy Mancuso, Luis Gerardo Mendez, Dayanara Torres, Camilo, De La Ghetto and Paula Fernandes.
