Odell Beckham Jr. is a free agent and Giants and Jets target. Here's the latest...

April 8, 3:17 p.m.

After being spotted with the Jets during March's NFL owner meetings in Arizona, Odell Beckham Jr. is set to meet with the team again on Monday.

The wideout tells CBS Sports' Josina Anderson that he's planning to fly into the New York area Sunday and meet with Gang Green the following day. During their meet Monday, the Jets will give OBJ a physical, important considering the wideout is recovering from a torn ACL.

At the time of the owner meetings, OBJ declined to speak to the media, but said "all love" when asked about Gang Green. During the meetings in Arizona, OBJ reportedly also met with the Baltimore Ravens.

April 3, 7:49 p.m.

The Ravens presented a contract offer to Beckham, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, who reported Monday afternoon on NFL Live that the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is waiting to see what happens with Aaron Rodgers and an anticipated trade to the Jets before making a decision on where to sign.

"Who would've thought that Aaron Rodgers might be the single factor holding up Odell's signing in the end?" Schefter said. "But I think everybody -- including Odell Beckham Jr. -- is waiting to see if and when the Jets get a deal done with Aaron Rodgers, at which point Odell Beckham Jr. would have some interest in uniting forces with Aaron Rodgers and, obviously, the interest would be mutual with Rodgers having mentioned Beckham's name to the Jets front office during their visit. So I think these two sides are waiting to see what happens.

"In the interim, the Baltimore Ravens have met with Odell Beckham Jr. They've presented him with their own offer. We'll see which Odell finds more interesting. But it certainly sounds like it's Jets, it's the Ravens, maybe the Rams still have an interest -- but those at this point in time, would be the obvious landing spots for Odell Beckham Jr. in what has been one of the longest free agent recruitments that we've ever seen."

March 28, 4:04 p.m.

Beckham was in attendance for the NFL owners meetings in Phoenix on Tuesday, likely to meet with interested teams in person.

According to SNY's Connor Hughes, Beckham currently doesn't not have plans to meet with the Giants while there (though Brian Daboll said he's texted with Beckham "once or twice" this offseason). However, he was spotted speaking with Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh from the Jets.

OBJ declined to speak to the media, but said "all love" when asked about Gang Green.

CBS Sports' Josina Anderson reports that Beckham will also meet with the Baltimore Ravens.

March 28, 11:27 p.m.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll has texted with Beckham "once or twice" this offseason, though not within the last week, he told reporters on Tuesday.

Daboll, who said the conversations are private, discussed the visit the team had with Beckham last season.

"He's a good young man," Daboll noted. "It was a good dinner, had good conversation."

John Mara told reporters on Monday that the team had not shut the door on a reunion with Beckham.

Mara said that if GM Joe Schoen and Daboll can make it work, he's in favor.

Beckham has been linked heavily to the Jets, with SNY's Connor Hughes reporting Monday that the interest is mutual.

Hughes added that Aaron Rodgers, whom the Jets are expected to trade for, has been in touch with Beckham about playing together in New York.

The 30-year-old receiver's asking price is unclear. It was recently reported that he's still seeking $20 million annually, but anything near that level seems highly unlikely.

On a day full of moves for Gang Green, the Jets continue to look at possibly bolstering their wide receiver room.

According to SNY's Connor Hughes, the Jets' interest in Odell Beckham Jr. is "very real."

Aaron Rodgers and OBJ have a close relationship, and when the Jets contingent visited the future Hall of Fame quarterback in California earlier this month, the receiver's name was brought up.

Wednesday, the Jets signed former Chiefs wideout Mecole Hardman and traded Elijah Moore to the Browns, along with a third-round pick, for Cleveland's second-round pick in this year's draft -- the No. 42 overall pick.

March 17, 11:00 a.m.

The Jets remain interested in signing free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and they are "staying in touch with his side," ESPN's Dianna Russini reported Friday.

Any pursuit of Beckham will likely be contingent on what the Jets would have to give up to acquire Aaron Rodgers.

Russini's report came after her ESPN colleague, Jordan Rannan, said the Giants will not be making a move as the receiver is out of their price range.

March 16, 11:57 p.m.

Giants running back Saquon Barkley responded to a highlight video that Beckham posted from his workout last week, saying he's still a top wide receiver.

Beckham then took it a step further and replied to Barkley, asking for him to tell Giants GM Joe Schoen to call his agent.

"Tell Joe call my agent…. I got some more shxt left to do," Beckham tweeted.

Beckham is reportedly seeking up to $20 million per season, Mike Florio of NBC Sports reported earlier this week.

The Giants may already have their WR room filled, as the team agreed to deals with Parris Campbell and Darius Slayton on Thursday, but Beckham appears to still be interested in a possible return to New York.

March 14, 9:31 a.m.

Beckham, who was reportedly seeking $20 million per season when he was shopping himself around last year, "still has that number in mind," reports Mike Florio of NBC Sports.

If that is indeed Beckham's ask, it would almost certainly have to come down significantly for any team to be seriously interested.

His last multiyear deal -- a three-year pact with the Cleveland Browns -- paid him roughly $15 million annually.

The 30-year-old Beckham is coming back from left ACL surgery, which was the second time he had the knee reconstructed in two years.

March 12, 4:40 p.m.

Several teams are in talks with Beckham following his workout on Friday in Arizona, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Pelissero reports that things are expected to "ramp up soon," while there have not been any negotiations yet and the WR has not made any financial demands.

Both the Giants and Jets were in attendance for the workout on Friday, according to multiple reports. It's clear the two teams will attempt to upgrade their receiving corps this offseason and Beckham could be a fit for either team.

March 10, 12:11 p.m.

Beckham is holding a workout on Friday in Arizona, and the Giants are expected to be among the teams in attendance, per multiple reports.

The Jets are also attending, according to Josina Anderson of CBS.

The 30-year-old receiver visited with the Giants, Buffalo Bills, and Dallas Cowboys toward the end of last season, but ultimately chose not to sign.

Beckham, who is just over a year removed from ACL surgery, would not have been ready to play immediately had he signed after completing his visits. Reports at the time indicated he would've been an option for the playoffs.

The Giants are in dire need of help at receiver, and could target one with their first pick in the NFL Draft (No. 25), later in the draft, and/or via free agency.

Having Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley back should only help Big Blue's pitch should they make an attempt to sign Beckham.

Dec. 16, 12:37 p.m.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones sounds optimistic Odell Beckham Jr. will sign with Dallas and contribute in the playoffs.

“Odell’s going to join us,” Jones told USA Today on Thursday. “There’s a good chance he will, with the complete goal of getting ready for a playoff game or two, and then I’ll look to the future. But most of it being about now.”

While no deal is done yet, that didn’t stop Jones from raising expectations of Beckham’s ability to perform for the Cowboys in the postseason.

“I’m hopeful we can get into some important games and have some Deion Sanders-type results,” Jones told USA Today. “Could this be possible to have a great player like that get in two or three playoff games and make some significant plays? I think very much so. That’s not an exaggerated thought at all."

Jones did not reveal any financial details of a deal with USA Today and while speaking to a Dallas radio station, the owner added the discussions with the free agent wide receiver are “very alive” and, “We’re just working through things that are important to the future here.”

Jones told USA Today the deal could become official after the Cowboys play Sunday in Jacksonville.

Dec. 14, 10:09 a.m.

The Beckham sweepstakes have taken many twists and turns over the last month and a half, but it’s sounding less and less likely that the receiver will end up signing with a team this season.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Beckham is “leaning towards” sitting out the rest of this season to focus on signing with a team in the offseason.

One league executive told Fowler that Beckham, a three-time Pro-Bowler, will “be the prize” of the upcoming free agent wide receiver class.

Beckham has visited with the Giants, Buffalo Bills, and Dallas Cowboys, but did not work out on the field with any of those teams as he continues his recovery from a torn ACL suffered in Super Bowl LVI.

Dec. 11, 9:32 a.m.

All of Beckham’s scheduled visits with the Giants, Bills, and Cowboys have come and gone, but the three-time Pro Bowl receiver is yet to sign a new deal.

According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, there remains plenty of uncertainty as to whether or not Beckham plays at all this season.

Rapoport reports that no deal is imminent at this time, and that Beckham and interested teams remain in a “holding pattern” due to the fact that Beckham, if signed, wouldn’t be able to contribute on the field “for at least another month.”

Beckham does not have a fourth visit lined up, per Rapoport, and there is no timetable on when he could potentially sign.

Dec. 9, 9:35 a.m.

During Thursday Night Football's episode of "The Shop," Beckham said that he, Giants running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver Sterling Shepard have unfinished business together.

"I'll say this, but it doesn't mean anything, it's just words, right," Beckham said. "I don't feel like Saquon Barkley and I got to do what we were supposed to do. That's all I got to say. And young Shep, too. Like this is my brother and my family, like there's something that feels special. That's all I'm gonna say."

Beckham completed his visits with the Giants, Buffalo Bill, and Dallas Cowboys earlier this week and is reportedly going to "weigh his options" at home with family.

Beckham's potential immediate impact upon signing with a team has been questioned. Multiple reports out of Dallas are concerned about Beckham's ability to play right away and it appears the WR won't be fully healthy to play until the postseason.

Beckham responded to those questions, and according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, he "feels able to contribute to the playoffs this season."

Dec. 7, 8:13 a.m.

After free agent visits with the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, and Buffalo Bills, Beckham is heading home to Arizona to "weigh his options, talk to his family, and plot his next move," reports Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

On Tuesday, multiple reports out of Dallas called Beckham's ability to play right away into question following ACL surgery and recovery.

David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reported that appears Beckham’s rehab “will extend into the postseason.”

Meanwhile, ESPN’s Ed Werder said that the Cowboys had "concerns" following Beckham’s physical that his ACL has "not progressed enough to ensure he would play before mid-January" and that a possibility exists that signing him would have "no benefit" until the 2023 season.

The above reports came out after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones went on the record with his concerns about Beckham.

"I’m not confident at all,” Jones said during his weekly radio spot on 105.3 The Fan. “And, so, that’s the issue. Now, we all realize that issue of health, that issue of availability is here every time. Just this one is very obvious and very pointed toward his injury that occurred last year in the Super Bowl.

"We got a good read on that. We got a great read on his career. It’s not like a draft pick coming at you. You got a lot of history here and you can take a good look at, not only the obvious and that’s his performance, but also any issues regarding health. So, all of this we got to come in with our eyes wide open and it has to be addressed, and that’s when you can see if you can make a deal or not."

Following Jones' comments and the reports that questioned Beckham's ability to contribute, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reported that Beckham "feels able to contribute to the playoffs this season."

Dec. 5, 9:50 p.m.

Beckham visited with the Dallas Cowboys on Monday and told ESPN's Tim MacMahon at the Dallas Mavericks game that "it’s a good possibility" he signs with the Cowboys.

The free agent was seen walking into the game and sitting courtside with the Cowboys' young stars Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons.

Beckham also said that he will meet with the team again on Tuesday, according to the Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins.

"Just went and grabbed some food, that’s all. Everything is nice, I plead the fifth on everything else," Beckham said of Monday's meeting.

Dec. 4, 10:48 a.m.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport discussed the latest in the Beckham sweepstakes, explaining that Beckham will visit the Cowboys on Monday, with Dallas "considered to be the favorite" to land the three-time Pro Bowler.

Rapoport also said that Beckham, who has not been working out with any of the teams he's visited, would like to go home and discuss his decision with his family in the "middle of the week" before making up his mind.

Meanwhile, there's "really been no discussion of a contract" during his visits to this point, which include the Giants and Bills.

Dec. 2, 3:58 p.m.

Odell Beckham Jr. was seen walking into the Giants team facility at 3:39 on Friday afternoon.

Beckham was spotted at the front door of the facility for more meetings with New York during his free agent tour by the New York Posts’ Ryan Dunleavy and ESPN’s Jordan Raanan. In a video posted on Twitter, Beckham is seen exiting a black SUV and shaking hands with two men filming his arrival.

Beckham went through a medical check earlier Friday, according to Raanan. And the free-agent wide receiver had a group dinner on Thursday night and more conversations on Friday morning.

Dec. 2, 1:52 p.m.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard spoke to reporters after Friday's practice about Beckham's dinner with the Giants on Thursday night, saying that Beckham agreed "it would be a special thing" for him to come back to New York.

"It'd mean a lot, man," Shepard said. "I told him, I was like, 'Man, it would be a special thing if you come back here. The city would definitely be happy about that and be like old times.'

"He was like, 'You're dang right about that.'"

Shepard noted that he saw Beckham after the dinner and said they didn't talk specifically about what Beckham is thinking, but wants him to "do what's best for his family."

"Yeah after the dinner, got a chance to talk to him a little bit, just eating," Shepard said. "Really didn't talk too much about that stuff, it's gonna take care of itself."

Shepard added: "Obviously reminiscing, just being in the city together. We spent a lot of time together. But I talk to him all the time, it ain't like I don't talk to him every other day."

Running back Saquon Barkley also spoke about what it would mean for Beckham to sign with the Giants, adding that he's the type of player to make any team better immediately.

"I would be lying if I didn't say having Odell in this locker room would help the team. Obviously we're in a great spot, but knowing Odell personally, just the energy that he brings, the swagger that he plays with, the playmaking ability that he has. He's one of my favorite players to play with or even watch, he's a heck of a player. The moment he steps into the locker room, he steps on the team, he automatically makes that team better.

"Obviously you can tell with the type of press he's getting throughout the whole free agency, it's not even free agency, and he's getting all the press. You know what I mean? Because he's that meaningful, he's that type of player. I've been vocal, I would love for him to come back. Not just because of football, that's my brother, that's one of my best friends. But at the end of the day for me, I just want him to continue to rehab, continue to get better, and wherever he picks, hopefully he's happy and he picks the best thing for him and his family."

Dec. 2, 8:39 a.m.

Beckham's visit with the Giants included a group dinner on Thursday night and continued with more conversations on Friday morning.

After concluding his visit with the Giants, Beckham is scheduled to visit the Buffalo Bills later on Friday and the Dallas Cowboys on Monday.

Speaking on Wednesday about Beckham, Giants WR Sterling Shepard said he didn't need to do much recruiting.

"He knows we want him here," Shepard told reporters. "He knows our relationship. He knows his relationship with Saquon (Barkley) and other people in this building. There is not much you need to say. … He’s got to do what is best for him."

Nov. 30, 12:49 p.m.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll confirmed to reporters that Beckham will be visiting the Giants, but did not divulge whether the visit would be for one day or two.

Beckham's visit with the Giants, per multiple reports, is expected to begin on Thursday, with a visit with the Dallas Cowboys scheduled for next week.

In addition to the Giants and Cowboys, Beckham has been linked most prominently to the Buffalo Bills.

The receiver was recently cleared to play, and said earlier this month that he was hoping to sign a multiyear deal.

Nov. 29, 10:25 a.m.

It's no secret that the Dallas Cowboys are doing everything in their power to land Beckham. In fact, they've been very vocal about their pursuit.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was once again asked about Beckham, this time during his weekly radio spot, and he seemed none too concerned that Beckham is reportedly scheduled to meet with the Giants before visiting Dallas.

"Not at all," Jones told 105.3 The Fan when asked if there was an uneasiness about the wideout visiting other teams. "As a matter of fact if you look at what precedes us before you get here, so to speak, physically, coming to visit. I like that, as to other teams, we don't have anything to take a step back on.

"And then of course, I know what this area is. I know what the Dallas area is. I know what football means to this area. And I do know that we're the most visible team. From that standpoint, there's a lot of interest in it. And everybody like to be part of something that's substantive. and that's the Cowboys."

Beckham will reportedly meet with the Giants on Thursday and Friday before heading to Dallas for a Monday meeting with the Cowboys.

Nov. 27, 6:57 p.m.

Beckham's attorney, Daniel Davillier, placed blame for an "unnecessary" incident that saw the free agent wide receiver removed from a flight on an "overzealous flight attendant."

"The overzealous flight attendant insisted on removing everyone from the plane instead of simply allowing Mr. Beckham to fasten his seatbelt and proceed with the flight," Davillier's statement read.

"At no time was Mr. Beckham disruptive or combative. He was willing to comply with the seatbelt requirement, but the flight attendant wanted to prove that he had the authority to have Mr. Beckham removed from the flight,” the statement continued. "That incident was unnecessary. Sleeping on a plane should not be cause for removal from a flight.”

Per Davillier's statement, the incident began after Beckham fell asleep with a blanket over his head, which is his "normal practice for long flights."

"He was awaken and told that the plane was back at the gate and that he needed to get off the plane because he did not put his seatbelt on when asked," Davillier wrote. "[Beckham] responded that he was asleep, and that he would put his seatbelt on at that time.” Beckham was told it was too late and he would have to get off the plane or "everyone would have to deplane."

Davillier said Beckham's luggage was then sent to Los Angeles without him.

Nov. 27, 3:22 p.m.

According to Miami-Dade police, Beckham had to be removed from a flight on Sunday morning after crews responded to a "medical emergency" as Beckham was "coming in and out of consciousness" prior to departure.

After the flight crew asked Beckham to leave the plane, to which Beckham refused, all passengers were forced to deplane before the former Giant eventually agreed to exit the airplane with officers "without incident."

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Beckham was not detained or cited following the incident.

Nov. 27, 11:12 a.m.

The Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes is heating up.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Beckham has been cleared to play and he will begin his free agency visit schedule by meeting with the Giants on Thursday and Friday.

After that, Beckham is scheduled to meet with the Cowboys on Monday and then with the Bills after that.

But while the Giants will get the first official visit, it sounds as if the Cowboys may be the favorites to sign the LSU product. An exec of a team linked to Beckham told ESPN's Adam Schefter that "it sounds like it will be Dallas," setting Dallas as a "2-1 favorite" to sign the wideout.

Nov. 25, 7:04 p.m.

Brian Daboll declined to comment on the Giants' pursuit of Beckham when the head coach was asked about the free-agent wide receiver's reported Dallas Cowboys visit and where New York stands.

"I keep that in house right now," Daboll said on Friday's Zoom call with reporters. "That's kind of where we're at with it."

Daboll subsequently was asked if he would confirm a Beckham visit without saying the day.

"I'm going to talk to (general manager) Joe (Schoen) here. Joe is out on the road at some schools," Daboll said. "So, Joe and I will reconvene later today."

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Thanksgiving that Beckham was considering the Cowboys, Giants, and Buffalo Bills but committed to a meeting with New York.

Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported that Beckham would tentatively meet with the Cowboys on Dec. 5.

"Giants brass, they are going to huddle ... to figure out whether they're going to meet with him this coming week or the week after as well," Glazer said.

Nov. 24, 4:00 p.m.

The Giants and Beckham do not yet have a visit date set, but the two sides are committed to meeting, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

"No visit date is set, but there has been a commitment from both sides to have Odell visit. ... It's not just him checking out them -- it's also them checking out him. The physical is extremely important here, of course -- he's coming back from a torn ACL."

New York, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Buffalo Bills are the three teams interested in signing Beckham, according to Rapoport.

While the Giants haven't scheduled their visit with the 30-year-old receiver yet, the Cowboys appear to have done so.

Odell will reportedly meet with Dallas on Monday, December 5, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.

Nov. 21, 1:50 p.m.

While it had previously been reported that Beckham planned to visit both the Giants and Cowboys after Thanksgiving, CBS Sports' Josina Anderson reports that a meeting with Dallas is currently planned for sometime in early December -- and that another meeting with the Cowboys could take place before then.

Meanwhile, Giants head coach Brian Daboll was asked on Monday if Beckham was indeed visiting with the Giants after Thanksgiving, but he would neither confirm nor deny.

Daboll did say, though, that he and GM Joe Schoen will discuss bringing in other receivers following Wan'Dale Robinson's season-ending ACL injury.

Nov. 20, 10:05 a.m.

Beckham plans to visit both the Giants and Dallas Cowboys after Thanksgiving, as the two teams have become the favorites to sign the free-agent WR, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

Beckham, who re-tore his left ACL in the Super Bowl last season, "is in the late stages" of his recovery process and is expected to be able to pass a physical by the time he visits any teams.

The 30-year-old previously visited the Giants to see his close friend and former teammate Sterling Shepard after he tore his ACL last month, but did not meet with Giants' upper management at the time.

Nov. 15, 11:24 a.m.

Beckham's high school coach, Nelson Stewart, thinks the Beckham sweepstakes could come down to the Giants and Dallas Cowboys.

"If I’m a betting man right now, I’d flip a coin between New York and Dallas," Stewart told The New York Post. "It’s tight. But of all the teams I’ve heard about, the one that really resonates a little bit more is New York."

Stewart added that Beckham "loved" his time with the Giants.

"His end in New York was abrupt at a time of turmoil, and it had a cloudiness to it," Stewart told The Post. "I think to go back to where it all started would be amazing for Odell. He’s grown up a lot, he’s grounded and he loves being a dad. He’s just in a great spot now. To me New York is a win-win."

Nov. 11, 3:40 p.m.

Saquon Barkley said that he would "love" it if Beckham signed with the Giants.

"He knows how I feel, he knows how we feel in the locker room," Barkley told reporters. "Like I’ve said before, he’s a heck of a player. I’m more just not saying words, more focused on him just continuing to attack his rehab, get ready.

"He’s a special player and he’s still got a lot left in the tank. I know how he is already with his mindset, going at this rehab and when he’s able to come back he’s gonna show his skill set.”

Nov. 7, 9:29 a.m.

Speaking with Complex Sports, Beckham listed the Giants among his possible landing spots, and said he wanted to be with his next team for the long haul.

"Whether it's Buffalo, whether it was Green Bay calling, the Cowboys, a reunion with the Giants, I want to be able to spill like my last -- I'm not saying I've only got three or four left. But these next three or four years into something where I can buy a home, I can call this place a home. ... I'm tired of living out of two-week suitcases. I've done the rock and roll life."

Responding to those who claim teams only want Beckham for his "name," he said: "It's just weird that GMs of teams, teams that are all going to the playoffs, that are all 6-2, all 7-0, the top teams are calling. It's not like just any teams are calling. People know what I can do on the field."

Nov. 1, 2:17 p.m.

Giants GM Joe Schoen, speaking to reporters after the Giants stood pat at the trade deadline, discussed the potential of signing Beckham, who would obviously fill a huge need with New York's receiver group lacking established contributors.

Beckham, who could soon be ready to return after working his way back from ACL surgery, visited the Giants' facility in early-October in a non-official capacity.

"I had no idea he was in the building until he was out of the building," Schoen said. "Obviously, he's been a good player. He's a guy we would consider and talk to when he's healthy.

"I think he did the ACL (surgery) in February, so not sure really where he is physically. But yeah, any player that'll upgrade the roster we're gonna consider and have conversations with their representatives."

Asked about the idea that Beckham would welcome a reunion with the Giants, Schoen said the reporters would know more than him.

"Does he? I don't know. You tell me," Schoen said. "You guys probably talk to him more than me. That's a hypothetical. He's a good player, from what I evaluate, if he's healthy. If a player is healthy and he'll help us win football games, we will pursue them if they fit what we're looking for."
