Britt Baker was last seen in action in September 2023 when she competed against Kris Statlander for the AEW TBS title. However, she has been absent from the ring since then due to injury. Amid her absence from AEW programming, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has provided an update on Baker’s status in AEW.

During a Q&A session on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that there has not been any extensive communication between Baker and AEW regarding her return. He also stated that Baker wants to appear on TV. However, he mentioned that he does not know whether Britt Baker is healthy enough to be on TV. He stated, “I haven’t heard of that much communication between the two sides. I do know that Britt Baker wants to be on T.V. I don’t know if she’s healthy but she wants to be on T.V.”

Britt Baker’s return: A potential challenge for the current AEW champion

Former Women’s Champion Britt Baker, who has been out of action for about eight months, could be on the verge of returning to AEW. Recent reports indicate that Baker wants to be part of AEW programming. However, the promotion might be holding off on her return for now.

Considered one of the top women fighters in AEW, Britt Baker could have a significant match planned for her in the summer. With AEW returning to London in August, there is potential for a dream match at All In at Wembley Stadium.

At Double or Nothing, Mercedes Mone defeated Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship. Since she arrived in the promotion, Mone has claimed to be the best woman wrestler in the promotion. This claim could lead to Britt Baker’s return to confront Mercedes Mone, potentially setting up a match at All In in Wembley Stadium.
