'Last Week Tonight' host John Oliver books his first Milwaukee show in 11 years

It's still uncertain when late-night talk shows will resume with new episodes with the writers and actors strikes continuing, but Milwaukee fans will be able to see one popular talk show host live this fall.

John Oliver is coming to the Miller High Life Theatre Sept. 29, the Pabst Theater Group announced Monday. This will be Oliver's first Milwaukee appearance since 2012, and first since the former "Daily Show" correspondent became the host of HBO's Emmy-winning "Last Week Tonight With John Oliver."

Tickets, priced between $69.50 and $129.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at pabsttheater.org.
