With The Last of Us season 2 being under development, fans are wondering about the actress who will play Ellie’s girlfriend, Dina. At the time of writing, the actor playing Dina has not been confirmed for The Last of Us season 2. However, Dina could be played by Paolina van Kleef, who appeared in the first season as “Staring Girl.”

Since season 2’s pre-production is halted (due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes), no new actors could be officially cast until the strikes are lifted. However, some believe that we might have our Dina for season 2 already.

In the game, Dina is voiced by 38-year-old actor, Shannon Woodward. It’s unlikely that she will reprise her role in the live-action series as viewers would expect Dina to be played by someone around Bella Ramsey’s age.

However, many viewers presumed that the “staring girl,” seen in the tweet below, who appeared in the first season’s episode 6, could actually be Dina. The character didn’t show up in the first game and was straightaway added in the second one. But the live-action series could have established her in season 1 before giving her a sizable role in season 2.

Paolina van Kleef is the actress who played the “staring girl” in episode 6. The creators didn’t confirm her identity, leaving it ambiguous. However, many believe that she could have been Dina.

If Paolina van Kleef isn’t playing Dina, then Cascina Caradonna could be a great choice. After all, she was the face model for Dina in the game. Thomasin McKenzie, Samantha Scaffidi, and Anna Cathcart are other popular suggestions.

Season 2 is confirmed to bring back Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie, respectively. Along with them, Gabriel Luna and Rutina Wesley should also return as Tommy and Maria, respectively.
