Jeffrey Wright has officially joined The Last Of Us season 2.
The Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee plays Isaac, who according to HBO, is “the quietly powerful leader of a large militia group who sought liberty but instead has become mired in an endless war against a surprisingly resourceful enemy.”
Wright actually played Isaac in The Last of Us Part 2 video game, it’s very much a role reprisal for the actor. That should keep fans of the game happy.
He’s best known for Casino Royale, Westworld, The French Dispatch, and won the biggest acclaim of his career most recently for his star turn in American Fiction.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world and based on the bestselling PlayStation video game, The Last Of Us season 1 saw hardened survivor Joel tasked with leading 14-year-old Ellie out of a quarantine zone and to the sanctuary of freedom fighters the Fireflies.
