The Last Of Us Season 2 won’t debut until 2025, but HBO is already teasing what’s to come.

First look photos from the second season were released during Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront presentation on Wednesday, featuring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.

The photos don’t give away much in terms of the plot, though that’s to be expected as production just recently began on Season 2. So far, details remain scarce.

The photo of Pascal features Joel standing outside at night, speaking with someone whose back is to the camera. In the next photo, it appears to be daytime, though Ellie is creeping inside of a building with her weapon at the ready in case anything goes wrong.

Based on Naughty Dog’s video game, The Last of Us takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, played by Pascal, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie (Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.

The Last of Us is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann.

The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television and is also executive produced by Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. The production companies are PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog.
