Las Vegas Shooting: Film Community Sends Their Prayers and Demands Better Gun Control Laws
More than 50 people attending the Route 91 Harvest music festival were killed Sunday night by a mass shooter in Las Vegas. The three-day festival was on its final night when the shooter, identified by law enforcement officials as Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada, opened fire into the outdoor venue near Mandalay Bay. Police have confirmed that over 200 people have been injured.
Hollywood, along with the rest of the country, is sending their prayers to families of the victims this morning. Many actors have taken to Twitter to send deepest condolences; some celebrities like “Westworld” Emmy nominee aren’t wasting any time in pressing the government to enact stricter gun control laws.
Jason Aldean was performing at the country music festival as the shooting began. With more than five dozen victims, the event is now the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Using twitter to impotently express sorrow again.
What makes it all the more tragic is there is no reason to believe anything will change.
