Larry King's son speaks out amid parents' divorce, slams this rumor as 'completely false'

Cannon King is denying involvement in the divorce of his parents, Larry and Shawn King.

In addition to pledging his love for his parents, the 19-year-old said in an Instagram post shared Wednesday: "They have had a great influence on my life and I’m so thankful for each of them. We will always be family no matter what."

He appeared to have come to terms with his parents' separation.

"They both deserve to be happy and that is my biggest wish. Happiness will definitely come," he wrote. "They are both so wonderful in so many ways, happy times are ahead."

Cannon then went on to write of his anxiety, which he said "has played a huge role in my life for a while now," adding: "It continues to try and break me down."

He acknowledged: "I am in control of what I can control" and that he has "no control about what someone says in the media about me."

Cannon went on to refute the notion he was involved.

"I CAN say that what was said about my 'begging/urging my dad to do something' is completely false," he said. "It hurts my heart to think that anyone might think that about me or my brother. All I want is eternal happiness for each of them. They both deserve it."

Though Cannon did not name the outlet(s) he was referring to, TMZ reported Wednesday, "Larry filed for divorce Tuesday because we're told their 2 kids came to him and urged him to divorce her. A source on Shawn's side says only one of their children urged him to divorce her."

In his post, Cannon also praised his parents.

"Mom, you continue to show me how to be a strong, diligent, and faithful young man! I love you with all my heart," he wrote. "Dad, you are SO strong and you also continue to teach me how to grow and become the man I know I can become."

Cannon closed his post by acknowledging: "Everyone makes mistakes. Doing our best to FORGIVE can and WILL resolve so much tension in any situation."

He ended with kind words for his mom and dad.

"No matter what happens moving forward, you’ll ALWAYS be my kind, compassionate, amazing parents."

King filed for divorce to end his 22-year marriage to his seventh wife Tuesday.

The couple tied the knot in a hospital room in 1997, just three days before King had surgery to clear a clogged blood vessel. They share two sons: Cannon and Chance, 20.

This is not the first time the couple has split. They both filed for divorce in 2010, citing "irreconcilable differences," but ultimately reconciled.

King has been married eight times to seven different women, including Alene Akins, whom he married and divorced twice.
