Lana Del Rey Confronts Kanye Over Trump Support

“Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture”

Lana Del Rey has called out Kanye West for supporting Trump. Kanye posted a selfie wearing a MAGA hat to Instagram with a caption reading, “this represents good and America becoming whole again.” Lana commented on the post: “Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture.” She continued, stating that both Trump and Kanye have “extreme issues with narcissism.” “If you think it’s alright to support someone who believes it’s OK to grab a woman by the pussy just because he’s famous-then you need an intervention as much as he does,” she said. In 2014, Lana performed at Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s wedding. Last year, she co-signed a viral anti-Trump witchcraft ritual to remove him from office.

Yesterday, Kanye was the musical guest for “SNL”’s season opening episode. He performed “I Love It” with Lil Pump dressed as a Perrier bottle, and two more tracks with Teyana Taylor, Kid Cudi, 070 Shake, and others. Kanye also gave a post-show speech to the “SNL” audience praising Trump and discussing his previously shared plans for running for president in 2020. Kanye’s new album Yandhi was slated to drop during the episode, but has not yet been released.
