Lana Del Rey and Azealia Banks's feud starts out about Kanye West and ends with threats of physical violence and a lawsuit

Azealia Banks is going to need a list to keep her feuds straight — the latest entry is Lana Del Rey.

A fight between the two singers — over Kanye West of all things — has been playing out on Twitter. It’s been especially nasty, with race being a factor as well as allegations of mental instability, drug use, and bad plastic surgery. The sparring has included various threats, from bodily harm to legal action.

It all stems from Del Rey’s criticism in September of West, often seen sporting a Make America Great Again cap, his recent SNL performance, and his love of his fellow “narcissist” Donald Trump, which she described as a “loss for the culture.” In response, Banks ripped Del Rey for having “selective outrage” about politics, saying she’s “the kind of thought police Kanye is fighting against.” Banks also called her out for working with rapper ASAP Rocky, who was accused of physically assaulting a woman in 2012 (a lawsuit between parties was settled in 2015), saying Del Rey and other “white female liberals are so self serving.”

Banks went on to blast Del Rey for using West for her “own vapid attempts to seem politically aware when there is SO MUCH MORE bootleg witchcraft you could be doing to TRY and take down [Trump]. “Kanye is not your enemy or THE enemy. In fact your selective outrage Makes YOU. The enemy.” She ended by telling Del Rey to apologize to West — and egged her on by saying, “You would never in your white mind try to battle ME on my ideas.”

It took a few days, but the battle really began on Tuesday when Del Rey responded — in force.

Banks was ready for round two, and things just exploded from there. She criticizing Del Rey’s appearance, saying she had bad plastic surgery and making other body-shaming comments. The “Young and Beautiful” songstress responded by saying that Banks has mental health issues. That didn’t silence Banks, who then alleged that Del Rey had a drug addiction.

Banks then threatened to send one of Del Rey’s tweets to her attorney, but Del Rey seemed unfazed.

Banks also seemingly posted a text exchange she had with West during the drama. She said they “reconnected” over the drama and that they are going to get together soon to do “some epic s***.”

Banks continued posting for some time, while Del Rey logged out early. Twitter feuds are pretty normal for Banks. Every few months she’s back in the headlines for drama with Elon Musk and his girlfriend Grimes, Russell Crowe, Cardi B, the cast and crew of Wild ‘N Out, and the list goes on.
