Lamar Odom Sued For Over $100,000 In Credit Card Debt

Former NBA basketball star Lamar Odom is being sued for over $100,000 in credit card debt.

The court documents were obtained by The Blast which show that he is being sued in the state of California after allegedly failing to pay off the balance of his credit card.

On Wednesday, The Blast obtained exclusive documents showing that a lawsuit has been filed against the NBA star in the Superior Court of California. The lawsuit was filed by Credit Corp Solutions, an assignee of Citibank. They are claiming that Odom owes them exactly $108,133.40.

In the court documents, Citibank states that they issued a credit card account to the 43-year-old former athlete, which he then used to make purchases. Although they claim that they sent him periodic billing statements for the credit account, they allege that Odom “defaulted in making the required payments.”

They say that time that Odom made a payment on the card is on January 4, 2019. They are not seeking to cover any post charge-off fees or interest for the cards. They just want the full sum of the card paid back - $108,133.40 – but that’s not all.

Even though they aren’t looking for interest, they are also looking for Lamar Odom to cover any costs associated with bringing the lawsuit, along with any such other relief that the Court deems just and proper.

Lamar Odom Is Opening Addiction Treatment Centers

Khloé Kardashian’s first husband has suffered from substance abuse and addiction. After undergoing a public rehabilitation journey, he is now planning to give back and help others.

In a recent Instagram post, he shared a photo with his wife and the new partners and staff of his Odom Wellness Treatment Centers in San Diego County. “God save me so I can save others,” he wrote in the post, describing himself as “so blessed.”

Odom had previously opened up on how his relationship with drugs “ruined” his marriage to the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star. The two got married in 2009 after dating for less than a month. However, in 2013, Khloé filed for divorce.

That divorce was put on hold after he overdosed and became comatose in 2015. It was a scary situation for both parties, but the divorce was finalized in 2016 and the two have since moved on.

Earlier this year, in a trailer for Odom’s documentary titled “Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs & Kardashians,” he revealed how addiction ruined the couple’s relationship.

The former athlete told host Harvey Levin, via E! News, “Drugs was my girlfriend. I had a wife… and cocaine.”

He said that the reality star only knew about his drug use “for part of our marriage,” adding, “I had to tell her. We can’t hide that forever.”

He went on to say that Khloé was nothing but supportive during some of the worst parts of his addiction. “I mean, behind the scenes I put her through some s---,” he said. “The things that y’all think y’all know are crazy. But the stories that y’all don’t know is really crazy.”
