Lamar Odom Has This One Thing in Common With the Duggar Family
What does Lamar Odom have in common with the Duggar's? Before we get to the answer to that question, let's talk a little about Odom's addictions and how he kicked them. We say them because drugs weren't the only thing Odom was addicted to. According to Cheat Sheet, although Odom kicked his drug addiction, he has another addiction he had trouble with but with the help of something he has in common with the Duggar's, he can now say he is kicking the addiction. You see, Odom was also addicted to porn and not only did he view it online but he also hung out at a brothel in Las Vegas.

One thing is for sure about his addiction to porn, according to Odom, his addiction to porn was much harder to get over than his addiction to drugs was. He said, it wasn't like he didn't have a hard time getting off the drugs, but the fact that it was much, much harder to get over watching porn.
Although drugs can and will ruin anyone's life, having an addiction to porn is what almost ruined Odom's life. He lost his wife, Khloe Kardashian almost lost his life, and it almost cost him his loving relationship with his fiance, Sabrina Parr. In fact, Parr is the one who brought his porn addiction to his attention.
Once Odom realized he was about to lose his fiance to his porn addiction, he knew he had to do something about it so he wouldn't lose another relationship. What does he use to help him stay off porn online? It is this one thing that he used that the Duggar's also use this to keep their web surfing clean and G rated?
The thing they have in common because they all use it is a software called Covenant Eyes. It is really just an app you download onto your phone or to your computer but according to Odom, it really works to help keep him off of the dirty websites.
That is a good thing because, as previously mentioned, porn almost got him killed. He was found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas. When they found him laying there, he was rushed to the hospital where he was treated for a drug overdose. According to the doctors who treated him, he had a high amount of cocaine in his system. He was also taking herbal Viagra. He was partying at the brothel for several days and hanging out with the girls who lived there.
The software, Covenant Eyes, works on laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. It has two different settings. One setting is called the Accountability setting and it works by downloading what you are looking at online and sending it to an administrator. The other setting is the filtering setting and this allows the user to filter out the sites they don't want to accidentally, or even purposely stumble upon. This software allows for cleaner viewing while surfing the Internet.
Odom praises the software and even posted about it on Instagram. He boasts about the link to sign up is in his bio on the social media site.
The Duggars use it for making sure none of them see anything they shouldn't see or don't want to see online. They also want to ensure the children, who are old enough to get online, don't see anything they shouldn't see.
The Duggars also share the software with their fans. How nice is that? Derrick Dillard and Jill Duggar-Dillard even share their social media passwords with their family members so they can all share a social media account and post different things about the family and the show.
