Lamar Odom Discusses Relationship with Khloé Kardashian and Says It's Best They Keep Their Distance
Former NBA star Lamar Odom was a guest on The Wendy Williams show on Wednesday, and they had a long conversation about his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian and ex-brother-in-law Rob Kardashian. Williams asked Odom for his reaction to the news that Khloe had faked her attempts to get pregnant while they were married.
“That hurt a little bit, you know what I’m saying?” Odom admitted.
“She said you weren’t in a space, though, to be a father,” noted Williams.
“I probably wasn’t, honestly,” agreed Odom. “She probably was right. She could have told me. She didn’t have to say it on TV.”
Odom said he hasn’t really been in touch with anyone from the extended Kardashian family, including Rob. “We were close,” Odom said.
“Real close,” added Williams. “We saw it on TV.”
“He has a child; I haven’t met his child yet,” Odom said. When asked how long ago they had last talked on the phone, Odom simply said, “It’s been a minute … I don’t know. I guess maybe [it’s] because I hurt his sister too much. I have no idea.”
The conversation went back to Khloé at the end of the interview. Williams asked Odom whether his ex-wife had enabled his drug use. “Enable’s a strong word,” said Odom. “I was a grown boy at the time. Do you know what I’m saying? I have money in my pocket. I can get whatever I want when I want it.”
Finally, Odom closed the door on any chance of the two getting back together.
“Look, if she came back into your life. …” Williams began.
“No,” Odom quickly interjected. “I say that with no offense to her. That would be the best for both of us — do you know what I’m saying? Keep our distance.”
