Lamar Odom Calls Marriage to Khloé Kardashian the 'Best Part' of His Adulthood

Since Lamar Odom’s 2019 memoir Darkness to Light came out, a new era of warmth seems ushered in between Odom and ex-wife Khloé Kardashian. While the book doesn’t sugarcoat their relationship, it seems a mutual respect outlived any hard feelings, and Odom now calls his Khloé Kardashian marriage “the best part of [his] adulthood.” As Odom continues to reflect on his life and make forward progress, he clearly thinks of Kardashian fondly and is grateful for the role she’s played.

In a new appearance on TMZ Live, Odom talks turning over a new leaf and making peace with past regrets — while making it very clear that Kardashian is not one of them. “Doing reality TV and being married to Khloé, besides having children and besides me doing this motivational speaking that I’m going to start doing, that was the most memorable part and the best part of my adulthood,” Odom tells TMZ. “So, there’s nothing I regret about that.”

The public speaking Odom refers to is with a company called MicDrop, and Odom apparently finds his new pastime to have a healing power. “This is a great way for me to make up the time I lost with [my children] and help them get better as well,” Odom says of his motivational speaking work. “And, hopefully, me going to public speaking can even bring me closer to the Kardashians and help me rebuild that bridge.”

Since the release of Odom’s book, Kardashian has expressed support for him, commenting: “Look at God!!! Congratulations Lammy! Keep shining” on Odom’s Instagram celebrating the book’s success. Given the turmoil of their relationship, Kardashian would be well within her rights to cut Odom off for good — but it’s such a display of loyalty and inner strength that she’s stayed on his side through his struggles.
