Lala Kent wants her little one to experience the magic of a sibling.

Opening up about her fertility plans to PEOPLE at the Vanderpump Rules season 11 premiere in Los Angeles, the reality star, 33, shared her desire to give 2½-year-old daughter, Ocean, a sibling.

"I think Ocean is going to freak out when another baby comes into the mix because she's obsessed with babies and I think she's going to be extremely hands-on," Kent says.

When asked where she is in her fertility journey, Kent teases, "We're into the journey! We're actually hauling ass full-steam ahead."

While she's excited about the possibility of a second child, Kent admits she has her hands full with Ocean.

"She's very independent, giving me a run for my money," the reality star tells PEOPLE. "I've just never met anyone who can go toe-to-toe with me until I met my daughter. She doesn't give a damn. I'll get stern with her ... like, 'You better fall in line' and she will say, 'No, you better fall in line!"

Kent opened up about her fertility plans on her podcast, Give Them Lala, in December, explaining that the process of conceiving with a sperm donor is "going very well."

"I did not expect my life to be this way," she said. "But I’m certainly thrilled that we are given options to bring kids into the world."

"I know I want another baby," she continued. "So whatever I need to do to make that happen ... IVF, sperm donor, IUI [intrauterine insemination] ... any of it. I just want Ocean to have a sibling."

In July, the star hit back at negative comments she'd received on a Fourth of July Instagram post, which showed a photo of her daughter Ocean and then a picture of herself in a bodysuit with her hands on her butt.

“I’m so over the mom shaming from some of you women. I’m a parent, I work full time, rarely have a moment just for me, and for just a second on the 4th of July I felt hot and wanted a picture," she wrote.

She added, “Anything but praise is unwelcome. If you have anything negative to say go f— yourself. Leave me alone.”

During the premiere party, Kent also gave an update her ongoing custody battle with Ocean's father, film producer Randall Emmett.

"There is no co-parenting. It is extremely difficult to try to co-parent with someone like him. His ex Amber has said the same thing. It's impossible," the Give Them Lala author explained. I'm still in my custody battle,". "I don't know when it'll end but [crosses fingers]."
